Disclaimer: This joke was told to me while on a date with a PhD in mathematics, who had studied...measure theory. The best part of the date was that joke...the rest went well by comparison. You have to appreciate a smart woman with a sharp wit and the self-confidence to tell this joke with a straight face. Nerds rock!

A man goes on a first date with a woman he learns is a PhD in measure theory.

They start talking and the man asks, "What practical thing did you learn in all those years of math?"

The woman holds up her pinky and says "I learned that this is not eight inches."
